William “Bill” Paul Seneker, Jr.

Aiken, SC—A service of Liturgy will be held 1:00 pm Saturday April 19, 2025 at Cole Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Alejandoro Leguizamon of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Aiken, SC officiating.  The family will have a visitation in the funeral home following the service.  A Mass of Christian Burial for William Seneker, age 87, took place 11:00 am on Monday April 7, 2025, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Bristol, VA, with Father Tom Lawrence officiating. Entombment  followed at East Lawn Memorial Park in Kingsport, TN. Bill entered into rest on Saturday March 29, 2025, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA. He was the beloved husband of Peggy Seneker and son of the late William Seneker, Sr. and the late Trula Seneker. He was a native of Bristol, TN, but had made the Aiken area his home since 2006. He was a member of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Aiken, SC.  Bill was an alumnus of the University of Tennessee and graduated in 1959. He was a member of the UT CSRA Alumni Group, and also a member of the Lions Club in Aiken for nearly seven years. He was an electrical engineer, having worked for Atlantic Research in Alexandria, VA, working on radar for US Navy ships. He also worked for the government, traveling around the world for satellite communications work, retiring in 2002 after 22 years of service. Bill enjoyed many things in life. He loved blue grass music, especially The Seldom Scene, a Washington D.C. group, golfing, playing tennis, attending UT sports, and doing irrigation work. Bill was loved by his friends and family, and will be deeply missed. Additional survivors include: two daughters Robin (Robert) Lovett, Orange, VA, and Wendi Ryan, Cary, NC; one brother James (Judy) Seneker, Boseman, MT; one sister Betty Heiney, Stuart, FL; four grandchildren Scarlett Lovett, Merryn Ryan, Burke Ryan, and Tate William Ryan; and one great grandchild Gunner Lovett. Bill was preceded in death by one brother Stanley Seneker and two sisters Linda Sanford and Mary Kissel. He preceded his sister Jean Ferrando in death, who passed away the morning of March 31, 2025. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to St. Anne’s Catholic Church 350 Euclid Ave Bristol, VA 24201.
