Mrs. Willamae Cassie Anderson

Wagener, SC—A celebration of life service will be held for Mrs. Willamae Cassie Anderson, age 79, at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Berlin Baptist Church with Rev. Mike McCormick and Rev. Will Vaughn officiating.  Mrs. Anderson entered into rest on August 16, 2023 at University Hospital.  She was the the beloved wife of the late Mr. Matthew Nathaniel Anderson.  She was born in Wagener, SC to the late Mr. William Hughes and the late Mrs. Cassie Brown Hughes.  She was a member of Berlin Baptist Church.  Mrs. Anderson was the owner and operator of Willa’s Beauty Shop for 40 years, until she retired in 2001.  Mrs. Willamae Anderson enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking; and loved her fur babies and going to the mountains.  Survivors include: two sons, Christian Matthew “Matt” Anderson, Wagener and Christopher Henry (Shana) Anderson, Windsor; and one grandchild, Serenity Anderson.  She was predeceased by one son, William McKinley Anderson and one daughter Cassie Anderson. Pallbearers will be Mark Redd, Pastor Will Vaughn, Ricky Jeffcoat, David Inabinet, JD West, Cody West, Trevor West, George Day, and Clint Anderson. A visitation with the family will take place one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at the Berlin Baptist Church Cemetery.
