Mr. Walter Roger Ramsey, Jr.

Aiken—A celebration of life service will be held 4:00 pm Friday, October 9, 2015 at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Ayers and Rev. Donnie Bates officiating.  Burial will be held privately.

Mr. Ramsey  entered into rest Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at GRU (MCG), Augusta, GA. He was the loving husband of 11 years to Mrs. Janet Ellis Ramsey and a son of Mrs. Betty Taylor Ramsey Seigler of Aiken and the late Mr. Walter Roger Ramsey.  Mr. Ramsey was a native and a lifelong resident of Aiken County.  He was a control room operator at the Savannah River Site for 30 years retiring in 2015.  Mr. Ramsey enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, Trapping, and planting gardens.  He attended Shiloh Baptist Church.

Additional survivors include two sons, Jacob Roger (Heather) Ramsey, Aiken, Kyle Ellis Ramsey, Aiken; one daughter, Emilee Lorel (Fiancé Bryan Beaudrot) Ramsey, Aiken; one sister, Sandra Ramsey (Steve) Scott, Wolfton;  three grandchildren, Olivia, Breelyn Ramsey, Bryson Beaudrot; two step brothers, Allen (Ann) Seigler, Aiken, Anthony Seigler, Aiken; a brother-in-law, Robert (Cindy) Ellis, Aiken; his father and mother-in-law, Wayne and Margaret Ellis, Aiken.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Jigarkumar Parikh, Asst. Professor, Section of Hematology and Oncology at GRU,  the Nursing Staff at GRU Neurological ICU and Larry C., a Respiratory Technician at GRU for their compassionate care that was given.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Corley, Mike Berry, James Sizemore, Donnie Webb, Rusty Perkins, Benny Jackson, and Joey Lee Willis.

Memorials may be made to the college fund of Kyle Ramsey c/o SRP Federal Credit Union, Aiken, SC.
