Mrs. Velvet Morris Fulmer
Aiken—A graveside service for Mrs. Velvet Morris Fulmer age 80, will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Chris Addy officiating.
Mrs. Fulmer entered into rest Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Pruitt Health (Mattie C. Hall Nursing Home). She was the wife of the late Mr. Paul Glenn Fulmer, Sr. and a daughter of the late Mr. Charlie Alvin Morris and the late Mrs. Effie Lee Busbee Morris. Mrs. Fulmer was a native and a life long resident of Aiken County whose hobbies were fishing, gardening, and spending time with family. She was the Co-Owner and Operator of the Country Store (the Monkey Store as it was well known) for 24 years retiring at the age of 56 in 1990. Mrs. Fulmer was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Paul Glenn (Vickie) Fulmer, Jr., Aiken; two daughters, June (Ronnie) Deese, Aiken, Joan (Andy) Patterson, Monetta; five grandchildren, Adam Fulmer, Billy Deese, Velvet McBride, Penny Higgenbotham, and Taylor Martin; eleven great grandchildren. Mrs. Fulmer was also predeceased by three brothers, Jim, Charlie, and Lindyburg Morris, and six sisters, Naomi Morris, Ruth Padgett, Irene Hall, Aleane Holsonback, Violet Holsonback, and Lizzie Mae Holsonback.
