Warrenville, SC – Mr. Thomas Ray Rhoden, Sr., age 73, entered into eternal rest at his residence on Sunday, December 24th, 2017. Mr. Rhoden was a native and a life long resident of Aiken County, SC. He was the son of the late Mr. Otis Wray Rhoden and the late Mrs. Dorothy Kelly Rhoden. Mr. Rhoden was also preceded in death by one brother, William Otis Rhoden. Mr. Rhoden was a communicant of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Langley, SC. and was a master carpenter. In his free time, he loved spending time with family, friends, and the old fishing spot.Mr. Rhoden proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Vietnam war. Mr. Rhoden was a Past Master Mason of the Horse Creek Masonic Lodge No. 174 in Langley, SC. Mr. Rhoden was also a member of the Aiken County Shrine Club, the Jamil Shriners in Columbia, SC and served in the Potentates Guard.Survivors include his children, Christina A. Pennock (Rhoden), Warrenville, SC, Thomas Ray Rhoden, Jr., Burnettown, SC, Thomas Otis Rhoden, Clearwater, SC, and Carla (Lamar) Ward, Langley, SC; five grandchildren, Kyle and Jeremy Rhoden, Heather Taylor, Kenneth Gregory, and Caitlin Rhoden. A memorial service will be held on January 5th, 2018 at 3:30 pm at the Horse Creek Masonic Lodge No. 174 in Langley, SC. Internment service will follow in the Langley Cemetery.
