Mr. Thomas D. Shealy
Aiken—A celebration of life service for Mr. Thomas D. Shealy will take place 3:30 pm, Sunday March 30, 2014 at Christian Heritage Church, Graniteville with Pastor Stephen Phillips, Rev. Jonathan Randall, and Rev. Joshua A. Shealy officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Langley.
Mr. Shealy was a life long resident of Aiken County, SC. He had retired from International Paper in Augusta as a millwright, and attended Christian Heritage Church, Graniteville.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Faye C. Shealy, Aiken; two sons, T. Darrell (Regina) Shealy, Aiken, Donald M. (Christi) Shealy, Aiken; six grandchildren, Thomas Ryan (Rachel) Shealy, Christopher D. (Summer) Shealy, Rev. Joshua A. Shealy, Justin A. (Beth) Shealy, Hunter C. Shealy, and Krislynn L. Shealy; two great grandchildren, Jude Maddox Shealy and Willow Rose Shealy; one aunt, Elsie R. Dyar, Graniteville.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Clyde Harkins, Pick White, David Hobbs, Jimmy Goldman, Joe Taylor, Ray Walden, Ronnie Shealy, and Walt Bagwell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tom’s golfing friends, fishing buddies and his co-workers at International Paper.
Tom was a man full of compassion and spent his life helping friends and those in need. He was a skilled craftsman who loved working with his hands. He was devoted to his God and his loving wife, Faye, whom he cherished for 52 years. Tom adored his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an accomplished golfer and enjoyed competing with friends. Tom was an avid fisherman and especially enjoyed fish fries and cookouts with family and close buddies. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather whose life was an example to all who knew him.
