Sammie Steadman

Sammie (Sam) Junior Steadman of Aiken, SC, entered into rest peacefully on April 6, 2024, at his home with loved ones.  He graduated from Aiken High School and attended Davidson college in Davison, NC.  Sammie loved fishing and was a member of Baughmanville Baptist Church, Wagener, SC.   He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby Lee Gantt and his stepfather Tounith Tyler.  He is survived by his two daughters: Tyeca (Ervin) Hoby; Jameca Martin, two sons Johnnie (Tena) Martin, and Andre Martin; Three sisters: Minister Pam Steadman of Aiken, SC, Evelyn (Lindberg) Brown of Aiken, SC, and Rutha Lee Gantt of Graniteville, SC; one step sister Gladys Cannon of Aiken, SC; four nieces Connica (Antonio) McFadden, Stacey Gantt, Eve Perry, Kathy (Bernard) Simmons; and three nephews Craig Gantt, Michael Perry, and Kendrae Davis.
