Mr. Robert Bennett Willard
Aiken, SC-- A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024 at New Covenant Presbyterian Church. Feel free to wear your best orange, white, and purple in honor of Robert's love of the Clemson Tigers. Mr. Robert Bennett Willard, age 69, went to be with the Lord on February 19, 2024 at Wellstar MCG Health. He was born in Salisbury, NC and was the son of the late Mr. Albert G. Willard and the late Mrs. Frances Eagle. Mr. Willard lived in Aiken for the past 34 years and attended New Covenant Presbyterian Church. He was a lab tech at Graniteville Specialty Fabrics. He attended Clemson University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree. Mr. Willard enjoyed watching Clemson football and NASCAR, and was a Dale Earnhardt fan. He enjoyed reading Tom Clancy books and listening to classic rock by the Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and the Beatles. Mr. Willard loved his grandchildren and enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s baseball games and piano recitals. He loved BBQ, especially from North Carolina, and enjoyed telling his family stories about his childhood and growing up there. Mr. Willard will be missed by his family and friends. Survivors include: one son, Matthew (Sasha) Willard, Moncks Corner; one daughter, Erica (Matthew) Crosby, Green Pond, SC; five grandchildren, Eden Willard, Isaac Willard, Fischer Crosby, Culler Crosby, and Schiffley Crosby.
