Aiken—A celebration of life service for Mr. Nicky Lanier Cockrell, age 48 will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Cole Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jacob Workman officiating.  A private burial will be held at a later date.
Mr. Cockrell entered into rest Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at his residence. He was a native of Prosperity, SC and was a life long resident of Aiken County.  Mr. Cockrell was the son of Mrs. Martha McKay McDonald, Johnston, SC,  and the late Mr. Zimmerman Cockrell.  Mr. Cockrell was a cabinet maker and had worked with Cowart Cabinets, North Augusta, SC, Fox Cabinets, Aiken, SC, and Altman Cabinets, North Augusta, SC. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include two sons, Nicholas Chad (Tabatha) Cockrell, Warrenville, Bradley Cockrell, Aiken; one daughter, Heather Cockrell, Aiken; three brothers, Jacky Cockrell, Ricky Cockrell, Jeffery Cockrell all of Edgefield; one sister, Kathy Edgerly, Ward, SC; two grandchildren, Isaiah and Jeremiah Trull; two step grandchildren, Margo Reeves, and Bronx Harris.
