Mrs. Mary Frances Burney Blake

Aiken—Entered into rest Monday, December 8, 2014 at her residence, Mrs. Mary Frances Burney Blake age 71. She was the daughter of the late Mr. John Burney and the late Mrs. Johnnie Lue King Burney.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Union Baptist Church, Rock Hill, SC with Rev. Ronnie Baxter and Rev. John Burney Jr. officiating.  Interment will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Blake was a native of Pittsburg, PA and was a resident of Rock Hill SC for over 30 years before moving to Aiken, SC.  She had retired from York General Hospital/Piedmont Medical Center as an EKG Technician with 30 years of service.   After her retirement Mrs. Blake was a cashier at Wal-Mart in Rock Hill.  Mrs. Blake was a member Union Baptist Church, Rock Hill, SC.

Survivors include two sons; Eric (Kerri) Blake, Aiken, Charlie Spencer Blake, Jr., Rock Hill; one brother, Rev. John (Gail) Burney, Jr., Richmond, VA; two sisters, Alma (James) Simmons, Pittsburg, PA, Vicy Lewis, Pittsburg, PA; a host of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Blake was predeceased by one brother, James L. (Sonny) Burney, three sisters, Charlene Brown, Margaret Portis, Geraldine Burney, and one grandson, Aaron Z. Blake.

Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Union Baptist Church, Rock Hill, SC.

Flowers may be delivered to Union Baptist Church, 1195 Hands Mill Hwy. Rock Hill, SC 29732 the day of the service.

The family would like to thank Hospice Care of Tri County, Aiken, SC for the compassionate care,  and support that was given.
