Graniteville, SC—A celebration of life service for Mrs. Margaret Quarles Herron age 88 will be held 2:00 pm Saturday February 19, 2022 at Bethel Baptist Church, Aiken with Rev. Brancie Stephens officiating. Mrs. Herron entered into rest Wednesday February 9, 2022 at Pepper Hill Center for Rehab. Mrs. Herron was a born in Saluda, SC and had made Aiken County her home for most of her life.  She had been employed with Aiken Industries as a seamstress for 12  years then moved on to Regal, Johnston, SC as a seamstress and retired with 25 years  of service. Mrs. Herron enjoyed working puzzles, doing word search and making quilts.  She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Aiken. Survivors include one son, Marion Wayne (Barbara) Smith, Blackville, two daughters, Linda Burns, Graniteville, Wanda Herron, Aiken; one step son, Ronnie Herron, Lincolnton, GA, two step daughters, Myra Whittle, Couchton, Beverly Clark, Augusta, GA; five sisters, Martha Hamilton, North Augusta, Virginia Willing, Saluda, Faye Forrest, Saluda, Claudine Bolling, North Augusta, and Judy Rawl, Johnson; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. Mrs. Herron was predeceased by her brother, Johnny Quarles and one sister, Jean Jackson. A visitation with the family will take place at Bethel Baptist Church one hour before service.
