Ms. Leah Rae “L’Rae” Christopher

Aiken—Entered into rest Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers, Ms. Leah Rae “L’Rea” Christopher.  Ms. Christopher was the daughter of the late George A. Christopher and the late  Leah Dorothy Oester Christopher.

Ms. Christopher was a native of Port Washington, NY. She had made Aiken her home for the past 35 Years.  She had a passion for music. She played French Horn, and Piano.  She sang until the last days of her life.  Ms. Christopher was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Aiken.

Survivors include one daughter, Michele Dempsey,  Phoenixville, PA; one  granddaughter, Kaleigh;   one brother, Jim Christopher, San Mateo, CA.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date at First Presbyterian Church, Barnwell Street, Aiken, SC.  Her ashes will be scattered  amongst her parents, at Sunset Park in Port Washington, NY adjacent to the Town Dock and the Sousa Band Shell.
