Aiken, SC—Entered into rest Sunday February 13, 2022 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers Mr. Larry Carl Schander, Sr. age 83 husband of 43 years of the late Mrs. Carol Schander and the son of the late Mr. Carl Schander and the late Mrs. Lavelle Martin Schander Hall. Mr. Schander was a native of Wagner South Dakota and had made Aiken his home since 1985.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Man 1 retiring in 1982 after 25 ½  years of service.  Mr. Schander retired as a LPN from the Medical College of Georgia after 10 years of service and was a communicate of St. Mary Help of Christian’s Catholic Church, Aiken, SC. He enjoyed Ceramics, Shopping, and watching Fox News. Survivors include five sons, Larry  (Shannon) Schander, Jr., John (Jo Anne) Schander, Ed (Patricia) Schander, Ron (Nicole Bussell) Craven, and Thomas Cory; eight grandchildren, Chris Powers, Nathanael Powers, Elizabeth Darr, Rebecca Schander, Michael Craven, Ashley Craven, Hannah Bussell, and Hailey Bussell; two great grandchildren, Emma Darr and Dominic; one sister, Carole Bakken. Mr. Schander was predeceased by a grandson, Benjamin Craven, one brother, John (Connie) Schander, and one sister, Karen Kuil.
