Mr. Larry Norris Young

Aiken, SC-A celebration of life service for Mr. Larry Norris Young, age 79, will be held 1:00 pm Thursday January 16, 2025, at Solid Rock Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Dewayne Anderson officiating. Mr. Larry Norris Young entered into rest on Wednesday January 8, 2025, at MUSC Medical Center in Charleston. He was the beloved husband to Mrs. Martha Ann Sherrill Young and the son to the late Mr. Norris Phillip Young and the late Mrs. Flossie Mae Siegler. Mr. Young was a native and lifelong resident of Aiken. He was of the Baptist faith and a lifelong member of Levels Baptist Church. Mr. Young enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, gardening, dancing, and watching movies; but most of all, he loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. Mr. Young was loved by his friends and family and will be deeply missed. Additional survivors include: one son Larry “Chris” (Ann) Young, Aiken; one daughter Angela “Angie” (Matt) Howard, Aiken; two sisters Yvonne Gable, Lexington; and Connie Gangway, Warrenville; four grandchildren Travis (Leah) Howard, Megann Driver, Dr. Emily (Matt) Campbell, and Brian Young; and four great grandchildren Gabriel Howard, Zachary Howard, Leighton Howard, and Emma Driver. A visitation with the family will take place one hour before the service at Solid Rock Baptist Church.
