Mr. Larry Russell

Summerville, SC— A graveside service will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Aiken Memorial Gardens with Rev. Brancie Stephens officiating.  Military honors will be accorded by the U.S. Air Force ceremonial team. Mr. Larry William Russell, age 77, entered into rest on March 31, 2024.  He was born in Nashville, TN to the late Mr. Richard Ed Russell and the late Mrs. Earline Andrews Russell.  Mr. Russell was a member of Central Baptist Church.  He grew up on Wire Rd. in the Central community. After graduating from Aiken High School, he joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in the Philippines.  He returned to the states and graduated from Georgia Tech.  He then became a graduate of Atlanta Law School.  Upon graduating, he opened his own practice in Atlanta and retired at the age of 65 after a long career in law. Survivors include: one sister, Penny (Louis) Limehouse, Summerville, SC; one brother-in-law Dean Kosinski, Warrenville, SC; nieces and nephews, Staci Russell, Wayne Russell, Dale Johnson, Kevin (Melissa) Limehouse, Kenny (Hannah) Limehouse, and Ellen and Daniel Kosinski; and a great nephew Gavin Limehouse; great niece Lena Limehouse.  The family would like to say a special thank you to his friend and caregiver Laura Johnson. Mr. Russell was preceded in death by one brother Tommy Russell and one sister Gayle Kosinski.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to be made to the SPCA Albrecht Center of Aiken, SC www.letlovelive.org.
