Beech Island—Ms. Katherine Marie Vance, age 46, entered into her eternal rest on Wednesday March 5, 2025, at her residence. She was the beloved daughter to Mr. Johnny Vance, Sr. and the late Mrs. Reatha Maynor Vance. Ms. Vance was a native of Wyoming County, WV, but had made the Aiken area her home on and off for the last 25 years. She was of the Christian faith. Ms. Vance enjoyed many pleasures in life such as gardening, music, travelling to the Tennessee mountains, antiquing, cooking, and making things from scratch. She also loved taking her dog Bailey to the park; but most of all, she loved caring for and loving on her children. Ms. Vance will be deeply missed by her friends and family. Additional survivors include: one son Jacob (Olivia Craig) Vance, Beech Island; one daughter Isabella (Darrian Lloyd) Durden, Beech Island; three brothers Richard (Shirley) Vance, Tulsa, OK, David (Mary Ann) Vance, Beech Island, and Johnny “Charlie” (Lisa) Vance, Jr., Aiken; three sisters Suzie Vance, Jackson, Margaret (David) Hodges, Whitesville, WV, and Rebecca (Jimmy) Kines, Beech Island; and her first grandchild on the way Amara Vance.
