Julian Albert Bell

Aiken, SC—Entered into rest Thursday, June 8, 2023 in Aiken, SC.  Mr. Julian Albert Bell, age 87, celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at Bethel Baptist Church, Aiken, with Rev. Brancie Stephens and Rev. Mike Cato officiating.  Interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Gardens. He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Lenora Horne Bell.  He was born in Aiken, SC to the late Mr. John Pickens Bell and the late Mrs. Lena Cushman Bell.  He was a lifelong resident of Aiken.  He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was involved in the men’s senior Sunday school.  Mr. Bell was a former deacon and Sunday school teacher at his church. Mr. Bell was a carpenter for RH Quattlebaum Contractors and RB Wright Construction. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and woodworking.  He also enjoyed listening to bluegrass and country music.  Survivors include: three daughters, Julia (Ronnie) Willis, Martinez, GA, Lisa (Tony) Bearden, Cope, SC, Karen (Chase) Chitty, Talmo, GA; five grandchildren, Chris (Casey) Willis, Uganda, Kimberly (Colby) Williford, Grovetown, GA, Brent (Heather) Bearden, North, SC, Ashley (James) Peeples, Moncks Corner, SC, and Michael Lewis, Talmo, GA; and 26 great grandchildren  He was predeceased by four brothers, Charles Edward Bell, Willie Pickens Bell, John Thaddeus Bell, and James David Bell; one sister, Eva Juanita Bell; and one grandson, Brandon Hynes.  Pallbearers will be James Peeples, Colby Williford, Brent Bearden, Michael Lewis, Lenwood Bell, Derrick Murray, Dylan Murray, and Logan Murray.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior men’s Sunday school of Bethel Baptist Church.  A visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to service at Bethel Baptist Church 1127 Bethel Church
