Mr. John Francis Midyette

Ridgeland, SC—A celebration of life service for Mr. John Francis Midyette, age 61 will be held 3:00 pm Saturday August 27, 2022 at the home of his daughter Chanelle Tallmage.  Mr. Midyette entered into rest at the home of his daughter Sarah Cornett in Summerville, SC Sunday August 14, 2022.  He was the son of the late Mr. Elbert Willis Midyette Jr and the late Mrs. Lillie Ross Midyette.  Mr. Midyette started a career in construction as a flooring installer at a young age and continued with Louis Sterling Flooring in Bluffton, SC, for more than 20 years.  Mr. Midyette then moved on to be in maintenance with the Atlantic Marine Community at the Marine Corps Air Station, Beaufort, SC and on Parris Island, SC for 6 years.  Mr. Midyette’s last employment was with Summer Breeze Outdoor Kitchens, Bluffton, SC. He loved to be outdoors fishing and hunting. Survivors include 2 sons, Parker Midyette and Gavin Midyette both of Beaufort, SC; three daughters, Chanelle (George) Tallmage, Ridgeland, SC, Sarah (Kevin) Cornett, Summerville, SC, Mariah Midyette, Beaufort, SC; one sister, Denise Midyette, Lakemont, GA; and eight grandchildren. Mr. Midyette was predeceased by one brother, Elbert “Bud” Midyette III. The family would like to express a gratitude of thanks to the Roper St. Francis Hospice of Summerville for all of their compassionate care they gave their father.
