Mrs. Jeanette “Jan” Graham Redd

Montmorenci—Entered into rest Tuesday October 15, 2013 at University Hospital Mrs. Jeanette “Jan” Graham Redd age 76 beloved wife of Mr. Daniel Redd and daughter of the late Mr. Leonard Graham and Mrs. Maude Lewis Graham.

A celebration of life service will be held 11:00 am Friday, October 18, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Montmorenci with Dr. Tommy Richardson, Rev. Gary Youell, and Rev. Chris Dean officiating.  Interment will be held at a later date in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Redd was a native of Screven GA and had made Aiken County her home for the past 63 years.  She  moved to this area from Florida and started here employment at the old Aiken County Hospital as a secretary and moved over to Aiken Regional Medical Centers as assistant personnel director, and was named employee of the year in 1977 retiring with 23 years of service. Mrs. Redd was 2 time Breast Cancer Survivor and for that reason was very involved with the Pink Ribbonets organization in Aiken.  She as an active member of the First Baptist Church of Montmorenci where she was a member of the choir, WMU, and a prayer minister.

Additional survivors include one son-Dale Redd, Montmorenci; one daughter-Robin Redd “Ricky” Thomas, North Augusta; one sister-Geneva Shiles, Orlando, FL; three grandchildren, Whitney “Dan” Riley, Aja Redd, and Reid Thomas; three great grandchildren.

In Lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorials be made to the Pink Ribbonets P.O. Box 5415, Aiken, SC  29804 or to First Baptist Church of Montmorenci P.O. Box 117, Montmorenci, SC 29839.

The family would like to express a gratitude of thanks to Dr. Shlaer and his staff, and the 10th floor west staff of University Hospital for all their  love and compassionate care that was given to Mrs. Redd during her illness.
