Mrs. Janie Wiley, age 82, entered her eternal rest on June 20^th, 2023. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 1st, 2023, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Dennis Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Warrenville Cemetery. Mrs. Wiley was born in Pembroke, GA to the late Mr. Ralph Strickland, and the late Mrs. Maybel (C.D.) Porter. She was a resident of Aiken for about 50 years, after living in Philadelphia. A beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She adored her family and brought great joy and laughter to all. She was an active member of her church and greeter who welcomed everyone with a smile and a hug. She was a shining example of God’s love and possessed both a caring and forgiving heart. She also enjoyed getting pampered and dolled up to look her best. She enjoyed listening to Christian music and was a fan of Elvis and Tom Jones.

Survivors include: one son, Thomas Frakes, Aiken, two daughters, Robin (Nick Angelos) Mccowan, Aiken, and Katherine (Danny) Keith, Kentucky; two brothers, Dennis (Cindy) Porter, Graniteville, and Danny (Sherry) Porter, Graniteville; two sisters, Nancy (John) Thomas, Windsor, and Doris Odom, Gloverville, SC; along with 6 grandchildren, Lisa (Michael) Fogg, Jon (Audrey) Mccowan, Jennifer Thomas, Jimmy Thomas, Lee Reese, Clint Reese; and many beloved great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Mrs. Wiley was predeceased by one son; Dale Frakes and one brother Kenneth “Cherokee” Porter.

Pallbearers will be Jon Mccowan, Jimmy Thomas, Michael Fogg, Coby Thomas, Zachary Fogg, and Cody Beard. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Frakes and Danny Keith.

A visitation with the family will take place Friday, June 30^th, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. at Cole Funeral Home: 1544 University Parkway (118 Bypass) Aiken, SC, 29801.
