Mr. James Francis Allphin
Aiken, SC—Entered into rest Saturday February 5, 2022 at Pruitt Health-North Augusta, SC, Mr. James Francis Allphin, age 79. Mr. Allphin was a native of Erlanger, Kentucky and had made Aiken County his home for the past 14 years. He was a son of the late Mr. Charles Raymond Allphin and the late Mrs. Bertha Mae Rider Allphin. Mr. Allphin had retired from Knuckles Security in Kentucky with over 30 years of service be moving to Aiken, SC. He enjoyed fishing, reading books and gardening. Survivors include two sons, James D. (Shelly) Allphin, Aiken, Samuel Setters, Aiken; three daughters, Christina (James) Setters, Aiken, Phyllis Setters, Beachmont, Ohio, Katherine (Johnny) Kappes, Aiken; two brothers, Ronnie Allphin, Dry Ridge, Kentucky, Tim Lunsford, Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters, Joyce Lunsford Blake, Moscow, Ohio, Donna Lunsford McPherson, Independence, Kentucky; 22 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews; his daughter-in-law, Debra King, Aiken. Mr. Allphin was predeceased by one son, Robert King, four brothers, Larry, Terry, Charles, and Robert Allphin. A celebration of life services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday March 5, 2022.
