Ridgeland, SC—A celebration of service for Mr. James A. Weyandt, Sr., age 85, will be held June 13, 2023, at 11 a.m., at the historic Gillisonville Baptist Church, Gillisonville, SC, with Pastor Tripp Daily officiating. Inurnment  will take place at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC with military honors accorded by the U.S. Air Force ceremonial team.   Mr. Weyandt entered into rest Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital, Beaufort, SC.  He was the beloved husband to the late Mrs. Dorothy Faye Harden Weyandt.  He was born in Altoona, PA, to the late Mr. Joseph B. Weyandt and the late Mrs. Catherine Marie Quirin Weyandt.  Mr. James A. Weyandt, Sr. was in the United States Air Force, and later began his career  at Terminix Service, Inc., where he worked for 33 years as sales manager.   Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy (Olin) Weyandt  Martin, Aiken, Toni Marie Weyandt Roseneau, Beaufort; three sons, James “Jimmy” (Judy) Weyandt, Jr.,  Beaufort, Ledly A. (Dawn) Weyandt Sr., Arizona, and Noah A. Weyandt, Ridgeland; one sister, Loretta Weyandt Kuntz, PA; eight grand children, Heather N. (Chris) Risinger, Sarah B. Barrett, Catherine A. Barrett, Cody J. (Ariel) Weyandt, Preston (Kate Coffee) Roseneau, Melinda (Dany) Vasquez, Ledly A. (Michann) Weyandt, Jr., and John Wesley Silas (Jessica) Weyandt; eight great-grandchildren, Sawyer E.  Pierce, Harper A. Pierce, Collins A. Pierce, Charlee R. Risinger, Dahlia Weyandt, Myles Roseneau, Rachel Vasquez, and Luke Vasquez.  Mr. Weyandt, Sr. was predeceased by one son-in-law, Randy Roseneau, one sister, Catherine Marie Weyandt Armstrong, and two brothers, Joseph C. Inurnment will follow in Beaufort National Cemetery. Mrs. Weyandt entered into rest Wednesday October 28, 2020 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Mr. James Arthur Weyandt and a daughter of the late Mr,. Ledly Silas Harden and the late Mrs. Dorothy Virginia Williams Harden.  Mrs. Weyandt was born in Sumter, SC and had made Jasper County her home for most of her life. She had retired in 2005 after 20 years of service with Walmart in Bamberg, SC and Pooler, GA  locations,  as a Department Manager. She enjoyed reading a good book and antique shopping. Mrs. Weyandt was a member of Pine Level Baptist Church, Early Branch, SC. Survivors include three sons, James A. (Judy) Weyandt, Jr. Beaufort, SC, Ledley A. (Dawn) Weyandt, AZ, Norah Weyandt, Ridgeland, SC; two daughters, Dorothy Weyandt (Olin) Martin, Aiken, SC, Toni Marie Weyandt Roseneau, Beaufort, SC; four sisters, Fran (Charles) Davis, Bluffton, SC, George Anna Harden, Reidsville, NC, Bonnie Kay (Ronald) Fargus, NC, Connie Rae (James) Clarke, NC.; a brother-in-law, Don Heinen, MN.
