Aiken, SC—A celebration of life service for Mr. James Patrick Hughes, age 63, will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at Cole Funeral Home.  He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Marie Louise Hughes.  Mr. Hughes was born in Thornwood, NY to the late Mr. Stanley and Elizabeth Hughes.  He had made Aiken County his home for the past 15 years.  Mr. Hughes worked as a splicer with the NY Tel.  He loved playing solitaire, watching the news, and doing yard work. He also loved classic rock music and older country music.  He was interested in muscle cars, including working on them.  He enjoyed playing hockey and his position was goalie.  His favorite team was the NY Rangers.
