Aiken, SC—A celebration of life service for Mr. Ira Frank Taylor, age 84, will be held at Cole Funeral Home Chapel 1:00 pm Thursday August 11, 2022, with Rev. Steve Hanna officiating. Mr. Taylor entered into rest Wednesday August 3, 2022, at Edgefield Post Acute. He was the beloved husband of the late Mrs. Brenda Taylor and the son of the late Mr. Ira Taylor and the late Mrs. Pauline Garcia Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a native of Overton, TX and had made the Aiken area his home since 1977, coming from Texas, and had made Edgefield his home for the last six months. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. Mr. Taylor enjoyed drawing, woodworking, writing poetry, watching Texas football, especially the Cowboys, and smoking cigars. He loved taking trips to the mountains in Tennessee and going back home to Texas. Survivors include: one daughter Toni Taylor, Aiken; one brother Robert Taylor, TX; one sister Pat Harlan, TX; and two grandchildren Andy Wheeler and Chris Kenner. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by one brother Alvin Taylor and two sisters Iris Kline and Dorcas Holcamper.
