George Terrance Francis

Aiken, SC—Mr. George Terrance Francis, age 68, entered into rest on Saturday October 16, 2021 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Ann Kjos Francis and the son of the late Mr. John Vincent  Francis and the late Mrs. Juanita LaPeer Francis. Mr. Francis was a native of Mackinac Island, MI, and had made Aiken his home since 1989. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr. Francis was a proud member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of the Chippewa. He attended the main campus of Cedar Creek Church. In 1995, he retired at SRS as a quality assurance engineer after six years of service. Mr. Francis spent 16 years in the nuclear field. He retired from Lowes in 2018 after 12 years of service as a plumbing and electrical professional. His hobbies included wood working, landscaping, cooking, fishing, the Green Bay Packers, and Lake Superior State hockey. Additional survivors include: one son Christopher (Erin) Francis, Aiken; two daughters Stephanie Francis, Aiken, and Jeannie (Scott) Flowers, Ladson, SC; one brother Terry May, Baltimore, MD; and one sister Denise (Jerry) Railling, New Bern, NC. Mr. Francis was preceded in death by one sister Patricia Mercer and one grandson Liam Flowers. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorials be made to the family.
