Aiken, SC—Entered into rest Friday December 9, 2022 at Piedmont Hospital, Augusta, GA, Rev. Dorrin Eugene “Gene” Milam, Jr. beloved husband of Mrs. Carol Elaine Milam. Rev. Milam was  born in Fairburn, GA to the late Mr. Dorrin Eugene Milam, Sr. and the late Mrs. Doris Butler Milam. He had made Aiken County SC his home for the past 5 years. Rev. Milam started his ministry 60 years ago and was a minister in the Southern Baptist Convention serving churches in Georgia and South Carolina. Rev. Milam was a graduate of Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA and retired in 2002 after 30 years of service with JC Penney. His hobbies included reading the word of God with “For to me to live is Christ”…Philippians 1:21 being his favorite scripture verse, and watching old original western movies, and Georgia State Football. Rev. Milam loved America and was a true patriot. Rev. Milam was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church, Aiken where he was an active Deacon and a member of the Senior Men’s Sunday School Class, and served as the supply Pastor for Rev. Brancie Stephens.    Additional survivors include two daughters, Carol (Mark) Pegram, Swansboro, NC, Teresa Story, Aiken; one brother, Daniel (Robin) Milam, Warner Robbins, GA; seven grandchildren, Crystal Pegram, Debi Marshall, Jimmy Pegram, Daisy Pegram, Nicci Story, Amy Story, and Katie Story.
