Langley, SC- A celebration of life service for Mr. Donald Woodrow “Don” Lowe age 84 will be held 11:00 am Thursday August 13, 2020 at Cole Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brancie Stephens officiating, Interment will follow in Graniteville Cemetery. Services will be live streamed on Cole Funeral Home’s Facebook page. Mr. Lowe entered into rest peacefully Saturday August 8, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family.   He was born in Sleepy Hollow, SC, and lived all his life in Aiken County.  Mr. Lowe was the husband of Mrs. Barbara Mitchell Lowe, and the son of the late Mr. Woodrow Frampton Lowe, and the late Mrs. Ruby Lee Cobb Lowe.  Mr. Lowe was the owner and operator of Don’s Paint and Body and Towing in Langley. He opened it up in 1974 and retired in 2006.  Don’s Paint and Body is still in operation today and family owned by his son Melvin Lowe and grandson Stephen Lowe.  Mr. Lowe was a member of Hollow Creek Baptist Church. His hobbies were fishing, motorcycles, shooting pool and making deals. Survivors include: one son Melvin (Joyce) Lowe, Bath; one brother Roy Lowe, Langley; one sister Shirley Smith, Langley; and three grandchildren Donald (Kaitlyn) Lowe, Robert  Lowe, and Stephen Lowe, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins Mr. Lowe was predeceased by his first wife Mrs. Mary E. Lowe,  two sisters Betty Jean Hanson and Blanche Toole. Pallbearers will be Chris Wood, Gary Boatwright, Jerry Storey, John K. Wood, Travis Sanchez, and Jimmie Wood. A visitation with the family will take place 6-8 pm  Wednesday August 12, 2020 at COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PKWY (118 BY PASS) AIKEN, SC 29801 803-648-7175. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org.
