Mrs. Delia Virginia Stephenson

Aiken, SC—A celebration of life service for Mrs. Delia Virginia Stephenson, age 65, will be held 2:00 pm on Saturday September 21, 2024, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Edgar N. Foster, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at the Stephenson Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Sam Stephenson, Nathan Stephenson, Frank Garcia, and Roy Garcia. Mrs. Stephenson entered into rest on Sunday September 8, 2024, at her residence. She was the beloved wife of Mr. Robert Louis Stephenson, III, and a daughter to the late Mr. Robert Garcia and the late Mrs. Lilly Ramos. Mrs. Stephenson was born in Havana, Cuba, but had moved to New York City at a young age in 1962. She had made the Aiken area her home since 1999. She started at Hunter College in New York City, and graduated from Florida International University in 1988 with a BA in Psychology. She had worked for the state of Florida as an Occupational Rehabilitation Case Worker. Her hobbies included gardening, landscaping, making jewelry, and writing her book. She was loved by her family and will be deeply missed. Additional survivors include: two sons Samuel Robert Stephenson, Aiken, and Nathan Scott Stephenson, Lexington; and one brother Frank Garcia, Batesburg Leesville. She was preceded in death by one brother Angel Garcia.
