Clyde Lewis Boone, Sr.

Mr. Clyde Lewis Boone, Sr., age 90, entered into rest Tuesday July 19, 2022 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Mr. Boone was a native of Covington, VA, and had made Aiken his home since 1976. He was the beloved husband to Mrs. Shelby Williams Boone and the son of the late Mr. Silas Boone and the late Mrs. Eva Judy Boone. Mr. Boone was a Veteran of the United States Army where he served during the Korean Conflict. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Shiloh Baptist Church. Mr. Boone gave 34 years of service to Pepperidge Farm, Aiken, where he retired in 1994. His hobbies included wood working, staining glass, reading, and furniture refinishing. Additional survivors include: one son Clyde Lewis Boone, Jr., Warrenville; three stepsons Richard (Angie) Baughman, Elgin, Kenneth Ralph Baughman, Eagle, CO, and Gary Baughman, Glenns Falls, NY; one daughter Judy (William) Helms, Augusta; two stepdaughters Tammy Thomas, Aiken, and Martha Thomas, Charleston; one sister Alice White, NC; nine grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. Mr. Boone was preceded in death by his first wife Mary J. Boone, one brother Howard Boone, and one sister Louella Porterfield. A visitation with the family will take place from 6-8 pm Friday July 22, 2022 at COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PKWY (118 BYPASS) AIKEN, SC 29801 803-648-7175.
