Benny Tillman Padgett

Aiken, SC—A celebration of life service for Mr. Benny Tillman Padgett, age 74, will be held 11:00 am on Saturday January 25, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church Graniteville with Rev. George Johnson and Rev. Bill Padgett officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the U.S. Army. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Herron, Boyce Sharpe, Donnie Kneece, KT Temples, Henry Manus, James William, and Henry Corley. Mr. Benny Tillman Padgett entered into rest on January 18, 2025 at his home. He was born in Batesburg, SC to the late Mr. Bennie Tillman Padgett, Sr. and the late Mrs. Lucy Jones Padgett. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Mrs. Miriam Padgett. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Padgett was a service technician at Prestech in Columbia, SC from 1974 to 2017, with a total of 45 years of service. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, and his father and son outings. He was an avid golfer and a member of many of the area golf clubs. Mr. Padgett was part of a pit crew for 8 years for the Hooter’s Series. He loved his fur baby Bilbo. Additional survivors include: one son, Jody “Misti” Padgett, Saluda; one daughter, Sherry Demas, North Augusta; one sister, Betty “Freddie” Padgett Holton, North Augusta; two grandchildren, Dakota and Trace Padgett; one niece Gina (David) Causey, Summerville; and one nephew Jason (Kelli) Holton, Beech Island.
