Aiken, SC--Mrs. Amelia Breil Florentine, age 72, entered into rest on June 4, 2023 at her residence.  She was the beloved wife of the late Mr. Richard Joseph Florentine.  Mrs. Breil was born in Manhattan, NY, to the late Mr. Harry R. Breil, and the late Mrs. Annabell Cherney Breil.  She lived in Aiken for 16 years,  and was a communicant of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church.  She was an International Purchasing Agent for 45 years for International Flavors and Fragrances (IFF), until she retired in 2012.  Mrs. Amelia Breil Florentine enjoyed traveling, and volunteering in different areas in her church.  She was an excellent cook.  She also enjoyed reading; working on crossword puzzles, and enjoyed a glass of wine.  Survivors include three nieces, Jennifer States Young, Aiken, Jacqueline States, Aiken, and Sharon Breil, NJ; one nephew, Christian Breil, Maryland; One brother, Francis “Frank” Michael Breil, Delaware; one sister, Harriet Ann Breil States, NJ; and her great nieces and nephews.  A private service will be held at a later date.  COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PARKWAY, AIKEN, SC 29801. 803-648-7175.
